Personalized Care and Guidance
Personalized Oral Hygiene Review
A thorough overview of medical and dental history, including medications and surgeries

Removal of Soft and Hard Deposits
Using an ultrasonic scaler and hand instrumentation plaque and tartar are removed

Removal of Extrinsic Stains
Using a Prophy Paste, extrinsic stains such as coffee, red wine and in some cases tobacco stains can be removed

Fluoride Varnish Treatments
A highly concentrated fluoride is placed on the tooth structure to help prevent decay, and also will help with sensitivity

Sealants
Sealants are a thin coating placed on the back molars to protect the chewing surfaces from cavities by blocking out food and bacteria

Oral Cancer Screen
A full Oral Cancer Screen is completed at every appointment, if noted direct action may be taken

Interim Stabilization Therapy
IST is considered a temporary restoration procedure and an important therapeutic intervention that is used to free a client from pain and prevent further damage to a tooth until the client can get the tooth addressed by a dentist

Silver Diamine Fluoride
SDF is used to stop the progression of a cavity. A wonderful option for children and adults with beginning stages of decay, that are unable to sit through the appointment, or not able to see a Dentist at all

Referrals to Health Care Providers
Referrals to Specialists and other Health Care Providers can be done at your Hygiene appointment. Maintaining your Dentist is still important to update Xrays and place fillings as required

What is a Mobile Hygienist?
A Mobile Dental Hygienist is a service offered by a Self-Initiated Registered Dental Hygienist. This service is the same service offered in a dental office except in the comfort of your home.
What Can I Expect During This Appointment?
Upon arrival, the Dental Hygienist will enter your home, and set-up necessary equipment to proceed with appointment, all that is required is a small open area.
At this time, you will be asked to fill out some necessary paperwork such as Medical and Dental History.
I will review your history, review any medications you are currently taking, recent surgeries and overall concerns before I begin. Following this, I will complete and exam of your head, neck and mouth, scale and polish your teeth as needed and develop a personalized hygiene treatment plan.
Professional Whitening
Dental cleanings help to remove extrinsic staining, but food and beverage staining can take a toll on teeth over a period of time.
NMDH offers in-office or in-home comfortable and affordable Professional LED whitening services.
The products used contain only the highest quality ingredients without any fillers or additives, and only available to dental professionals.
